A message from Sifu Lyn to all students: Well if any of you were able to see Marsha Marianna Kheyfetts Pro debut MMA fight last night you missed something spectacular. She out classed the seasoned favorite Kim Couture in splendid fashion knocking her down with a stinging right cross and immediately with perfect precision executed a triangle choke maneuver whereby Kim had to tap out. First round lights out! On my way home after the fight Marsha called me at midnight expressing thanks for all that I have done. Well I have to thank her. Nearly three years ago when Marsha was attending University of Miami my wife and I were visiting Miami and we invited Marsha for dinner. Marsha told me then that all she wanted to do more than anything else was fight. My answer was do it then, show me you have the fortitude. She had started training with American Top Team in Miami and when a year later she had her first Muay Thai fight that I witnessed I knew she had the stuff that champions are made of I just didn't tell her. She graduated University and moved back to Stamford and continued her training with a branch of American Top Team in Danbury, CT. Chinese say "you have to eat bitter" what that means if you want something bad enough you will do whatever is necessary to achieve your goals. Marsha has been doing that all along. Working a full time job, a five day week nine hours a day and then going to train three hours a night six days a week. Somehow I think that's going to change very soon. She inspires me. The student becomes the teacher. I couldn't be more proud of her. She's lightning in a bottle, a star is in our midst. Sincerely and with great respect. Prof. Sifu Lyn
